Founded in 1902, Sinclair University has grown from a small liberal arts college into a comprehensive private university that still values small classes, close faculty relationships, and a strong sense of community.

Sinclair combines the intimacy of a residential liberal arts college with the breadth of a modern university. Its identity is shaped by civic engagement, interdisciplinary learning, and the conviction that knowledge should be paired with empathy and action.

Sinclair's leadership team guides academic planning, student support, and long-term campus stewardship with an emphasis on thoughtful growth rather than scale for its own sake.
The Sinclair crest places a rooted oak above an open book to symbolize knowledge that is both enduring and continually renewed.
Every October, the campus gathers for lectures, student performances, and the ringing of the Sinclair Hall bell in honor of the university's founding.
Sinclair's 200-acre campus blends Collegiate Gothic architecture, brick walkways, oak groves, and newer academic facilities. The result is a campus that feels historic without feeling frozen in time.
